Today is the Day

Congratulations Jeff, We all wish we could be outside your house cheering.... then treat you to a wonderful celebration. I guess all the peeps you have encouraged with your contagious positive supportive attitude is a bit of a celebration in of itself. Thanks to you and Dave Cormier for everything.

Konrad sends his congratulations on your graduation

Had a chance to text-chat with Konrad [an early participant in Jeff's webcasting career] and he asked me to send along his congratulations. He's heading to home for holidays until the end of the month and won't be able to able to be online during your "gradcast."

Also want to share his initial reaction to the news of your upcoming commencement 'cast:

I thought he was a teacher

All of us associated with the interconnected ("bridged" if you will) "webcast-sphere" that is worldbridges are forever in your debt for the service that you have and do provide for so many. Thanks for teaching us all the art of webcasting, and congrats on attaining a "basic understanding [which still cracks me up] of this webcasting thing" and graduating from the Academy.

What time?

Hi Jeff,

Now I get the time thing!  You can post local time but you have to have GMT on post. A bit confusing but, I got it.

graduation requirements, graduate quickly

Okay, before you think of any more requirements I will be setting up the rest of my portfolio so I can set my graduation date.

Cool

This group of webcasters is very busy and they are moving along quite well.

Funny Jeff!

Funny, Jeff! Yes, I think you've got the basic understanding! I'll be there one day...who knows...

Great that you put together great talks. I'll listen to them!

Thanks for being there for all of us, leading the way and never giving up on us.

Beijos.

Grad Prep

Kathy, we each get to be our own valedictorian as we each need to stream our own 'graduationcast'.  There's some information here , but I will create a more detailed grad requirements page shortly.  The basic idea is that each of us need to webcast a discussion of our journey - basic setup and challenges faced, overview of 3 featured webcasts and any others we'd like to mention, and a look at what's ahead for us as webcasters. Since we're making this up as we go along, there should be plenty of room for 'creativity'.
Yes Lee, I plan to add some spacecasts I was invovled with, but I finally got drowsy on that sleepless night and only made it up to July of 2006 -  I still have another year of webasts to post.

How Funny

It is amazing how much has been done. See what you started?  I am still trying to figure out the date I joined the Worldbridges community. So much has happened since I came on board. I will have to go into the history books to find out my start date. Lee

I don't want to miss this!

I'm assuming you will be the Valedictorian.

Individual GraduationCasts

Hi! I am wondering if we are each to do our own gradcast or join in with one of the other interns? I thought I saw something about a gradcast as part of the graduation requirements. Anyone remember where that l link is? Losing things is not so very hard to do. Lee

How did you ever get all those links in yours without having to copy and paste them or drag them individually? Lee

A sleepless night

Actually, on a sleepless night, I did copy and paste each one in.  Unfortunately, it's currently possible to only copy and paste two at a time before clicking preview and adding two more. The good news is that once it's done, you can easily copy and paste the entire hyperlinked list elsewhere (and I've heard that this kind of thing is going to get easier in Drupal 6)

Sleepless in New Hampshire

Sleepless indeed. I know that had to take alot of time. But.. I will more that likely follow suit to use the export of link lists in 6.0. It is a good idea to have the lineup of webcasts we have each done avaliable. It is far easier to explain things with a link to an audio file than with words. Oh, you forgot to add the session with Youthbridges on the VA tech shooting incident. You did host that one which Paul Allison and I were grateful for.   Lee

Do you think?

Well, I don't know, how can you be so sure? (She chuckles to herself...)
