I am a marine science educator. My day job involves creating media for interactive videoconference based on the science at the lab. I also maintain the equipment in our studios.

I have recently started podcasting (cephalopodcast.com) as a way of exploring topics that interest me. It is mostly about science, especially marine science and also science education, particularly in the K-12 arena. It is also about how technology is changing the way we gather and understand information about the world around us. And the occasional cephalopod, of course.

Have been an educator 13 years.  I am an elementary school teacher.  I also teach adult ESL.  Webcasting is a means to my professional growth.  It enriches my Personal Learning Network. I am exploring ways to "embed" technology into my classroom.  

I am currently a doctoral student in Curriculum and Instruction at Illinois State University. I have taken several courses here with Dr. Cheri Toledo, and she planted the technology "seed" in me, and now I have "technology fever!" I am really wanting to learn everything I can about technology and how I can incorporate technology in the classroom, so as to assist students with their learning. I will be teaching my first ever online class here at Illinois State University this upcoming spring semester. I really want to learn about webcasting, so that I can include that in my online classes.

I am a 22 year veteran teacher working in a suburban school on Long Island.  I love teaching and using technology in the classroom.  I am also a staff developer, teaching my colleagues how to use SmartBoards, design websites for maximum home/school communication, and am planning a class on Web 2.0 applications.   Although we have a computer teacher in building, I have become the "go to" person for all things technological.  I recently began my own blog page.  You can find me on http://lisaslingo.blogspot.com/.

My name is Matt Montagne and I work as the instructional technology coordinator at The Castilleja School in Palo Alto, California. I enjoy to traveling/wilderness travel, spending time with my family, and riding my bike.  

I used to teach social studies and science at the 6th grade level in a laptop classroom. Now I am the district Technology Coordinator. I manage our large 1:1 program and work with teachers to effectively integrate technology with their curriculum. I am hoping that webcasting can be another way to encourage collaboration among students and staff, and be a vehicle for connecting with others from around the world.
