The Euromeeting on Thursday the 7.12.06 was hosted by Anne Fox in a

skypecast-room and recorded and edited (strongly) in Audacity and

streamed to Sandbox A and B with SAM Broadcastiing by Niels. Before

the start we played Beethowen 5. sym found on wikimedia - and a litte

glimse of Danish music (Kim Larsen: Kloden drejer stille rundt = the

Earth is turning silent around) just to suppress Doug a little (sorry

for that, Doug)

Jeff, Doug, Niels - and Kathy speaking about this agenda - and other interesting things for interns in the webacademy class 1.3.6. The meeting took place in a SkypeCast room under SKYPE v. 3.0 Recorded in Audacity - and edited just a little and streamed by Nies to Sandbox A and B - an by Jeff to Channel 1 and 2.
The Chatrom was disabled - at "Plan B chat room" was set up by Jeff

EuroMiniMeeting 23.11.06 - a report

Here is the report on our meeting today Thursday the 23.11.06 in the Euro-very-Mini-group - only 2 attentans!

Dennis was hosting the meeting in the webcastroom - and I Niels was recording in Audacity - and straming to sandbox A and B with SAM.

We startet with a bit of Danish music - have a good conversation - and ended up with a little music - just for fun!

Ther was nobydy in the chatroom today - only Dave was inside for some few minutes.

My settings for a working system for recording AND streaming:

Soundcard: SigmaTel C-Major Audio v. 5.10.0.0.4255 (11.03.05)

USB-mic from Logitech – AK5379 – driver MS 5.1.2535.0 (01.07.01

Installed: full version of AVC – Audio Virtuel Cabels – or ask Jeff! + all programs form the webcas kit for windows

SYSTEM: WinXP professional v. 2002 - servicepak 2 -

The Magical Mystery Tour of AVC

How is AVC working - that is the big question? When we use recording with Audacity - AVC is "just there" somehow - and we DO use the Audio Repeater to transmitt our USB-mic.
BUT I tryed to use line out from SKYPE - connecting the "virtuel cable 1 out" and transfeer the sound to Audacity via - "virtuel cable 1 inn" Its working! - the sound is transmitting (but I lost my sound from SKYPE? Is VACs idea to combine (out- and inn devises) (in this way)in programs we wanted to be connected? - or....

Thanks to Bengt - and Jeff - I am up recording in Audacity - and webcasting to Sandbox A and B - with SimpleCast - nice and clean! The first webcast was a talk with Anne Fox in Denmark - yesterday! BUT - a couple of small problems I still have to solve: (who can help?)
1. Using my Logitech AK 5370 - I have problems with the soundlevel. i Audacity is seem to be very low - but Anne told me its HEIGH in SKYPE? She (and the SKYPE-lady) is comming in (too) HIGH i Audacity.
2. How to prepare SAM (its realy a nice program :-) for transmitting from the soundcard and from the USB-MIC - (easy with Simplecast in the Config) - but I dont find where to Config SAM for that?
3. I am testing out how to webcast a live session from my OPAL web-room. Normaly we do all programs ON-LINE with a recording (and convert this to a MP3-file after), but there must be a solution to get this broadcasted via a stream at the same time, I am sure?
