- Introduction
I've been podcasting for a few years. I've also been lucky enough to have participated in few past World Bridges webcasts, but never as a producer. I'm hoping to learn how to efficiently use these streaming technologies. My particular interest is to stream spoken word performances into Second Life.

- Why do you want to learn to webcast?
As mentioned in Introduction above, I'd like to become able to quickly set up and use audio streaming technologies. My ultimate goal is to do spoken word performances in Second Life by way of streaming instead of SL Voice.
I'd also like to get a better grip on some of the new web based video streaming tools that are becoming available.

This is conceived of as an extension of my recent misadventures in Second Life. I've been attempting to blog and podcast the experience of learning about the virtual world. Now I think I'm ready to do some performance audio art (P.A.A.). My hope is to wonder the landscape in search of available streaming servers and kind hearted souls willing to let me hijack said server for short intervals. During these intervals, which I imagine to be impromptu events, I will grace whatever audience assembles with an offering of Free Associative Monologue (F.A.M.). Eventually, I'd like to be able to play midi tunes to add a slight multi-media sound texture.
