Introduction: I came across your site looking for K-12 podcasts, which led me to EdTechTalk. That in turn led me here. I am the technologist for a Magnet school in Kalamazoo, MI. I am also a podcaster at http://www.coffeeconvo.com. The possibilities for using podcasting in the classroom for student assessment and professional development are very exciting to me! Before K-12, I worked in IT for several years. Prior to that, I worked in radio broadcasting. I have the technical side of webcasting pretty well captured, but I look forward to learning the process that you have refined so well. I am a humble person and willing to learn and help in any way I can. Thanks!

Why do you want to learn to webcast?: I am already very familiar with podcast production. While webcasting is fairly analogous, I recognize that the *process* of collaboration and the tools used here are very well organized. I hope to learn from this experience and share my enthusiasm with others in the future. It would be great to bring this to the culture of my district to inspire internal webcasting for professional development.

Show Details: Most teachers are excited to use "technology" in their classroom, but exactly what that looks like and how to integrate into a lesson is more than they can deal with at times. I would like to be part of a show that brings technologies to the teacher's attention with practical ideas for implementations. In an inquiry based model, where students are gathering data and interpreting it to come to conclusions, it is important for the teacher to be aware of a multitude of ways to gather, interpret, and present that information...always staying one step ahead to guide the student. If a webcast can help with that, I would like to be a part of it.
Worldbridges Participation: I would be very open to webcasting on the Worldbridges Webcasting Network, especially if I can do so with a colleague in another part of the country with similar goals.
