My audio introduction for the Class of 3.1. I too am really looking forward to working with each of the interns in the Class of 3.1 and invite interns from previous sections of the Academy to join in the fun, and help us tweak the content and delivery of WCA curricula. NOTE: Background music compliments of the Beastie Boys and ccmixter.org, and can be found @ http://ccmixter.org/files/wired/86

Introduction

I live on Vancouver Island off the west coast of Canada. I've been doing edtechtalk-related webcasting (primarily the EdTechBrainstorms on Thurday nights in North America (0200 GMT Fridays)) on the worldbridges network since January 2006.

From 2006 to 2008 my "day job" was Community Animator with the South Island Learning Community, out of the offices of Literacy Victoria.

My job with SILC involved building bridges with technology, and I'm particularly interested in open source | open access web-based technologies and how they can be used in ways that make sense for community stakeholders.

I'd like to explore to the possibilities for media on the web. What makes sense? From a file format, connection speed, access point of view? How can media be used to make connections and share with others?
