Introduction

i'm an educator who until recently taught both undergrad and M.Ed courses, along with working in international education - and i've been living in a webcasting household for the past year, listening in fits and starts as edtechtalk and educationbridges have grown. though the possibilities of educational technologies do interest me greatly, it's something far more personal that's motivated me to don an apprentice's mike - a chronicle of/discussion on bringing home baby and making the transition from human to parent. it's what the next year of my life (thank you, Canadian maternity leave) will be focused around, so i thought perhaps it might make an interesting subject for webcasting scrutiny.

am having a baby sometime in the next month. i'd like to do a show around the realities/joys/challenges/surprises of new parenthood...both reflecting on my own experiences as they come, and interviewing other parents on theirs. would like to focus each show around a particular issue and encourage sharing of "what worked for me" tips, as well as providing room for new parents to simply talk about how the journey's going for them.
