Webcast Intern graduation!

Why am I talking about graduation when some of you are just beginning. Well, mostly because, none of us webcast interns have graduated. Now you may be thinking how is this possible? Well, in a collaborative community, the collaborators have to have time to , well, collaborate. Anyway, today we decided, that along with the written reflective portfolio, an added piece will be that each webcaster, or webcast team, will schedule a graduation in a sandbox, a or b, and record in any open media fashion for posting and posterity.

If you look at the graduation requirements, it would be best to demonstrate them as well as talk about them in the graduation podcast. How is this possible? Well, for example, my nemesis, is kicking the stream. If I had my partner, Alice Barr, graduate with me, we could practice kicking the stream live, talk about it and record it and voila, if we are successful, then we will graduate!

Any comments? I am close to graduating. My goal is to graduate by August sometime. Having been an intern for 1 year and 2 months by then I hope I will have most things in the success category. Anyone else want to graduate with me?

Hey Cheryl, 

Thanks for this--I've been combing the archives looking for my "3 best" and it's been a fun experience. I'd love to graduate with you.

BTW: You and Susan are doing a great job with the Academy--that was quite a start last night!

I totally agree, I've learned more here are the worldbridges community and edtechtalk than many workshops and classes I've attended. It is about connections and conversations. We continue on.

Graduation Process

It seems like you have put a lot of work into graduating already.  I know that I belong to a welcoming community where the founder feels that he needs to graduate also.  The rules are the same for everybody.  You all have many shows under your belt!  As for me.  I feel that edtechtalk really is about the conversation.  I have learned a lot more this last year as an educator than the last ten combined.  It isn't about what degree you have, it is about what you do. On that topic I do intend to graduate this August also. Besides our work in It's Elementary, (Alice Mercer, Lisa Durff, and Maria Knee) I was planning on hosting a state of affairs for tech use in my district for my graduation.  I still have month or so. I hope to bring in more converts to the edtechtalk community.
