Hello everyone,
recording both ends of a telephony calls - Carlos F existential issues
I'm using Windows Vista , downloaded the last version of Audacity and VAC. I also have realtek sound speakers. The presentation on telephony causes me the following problems:
1- In Audacity, I can't manage to open the box With what you hear, I can't seem to find it.
2- The pannel for Volume control is totally different partly because I have the realtek installed and partly because Vista changed part of the previous options.
3- So, I've got no options to choose and no volume control or what I want to be used for recording
Conclusiuon: I don't know what to do...

I've joined in three weeks and four days ago... Coming here every night seems a habit, allmost an addiction, although I firmly believe it is a healthy one... Back to when I started, I was eager to learn always having in mind how could I take all of this into my lessons...

Recording and webcasting - Carlos F's adventures through webcasting
Well, I've been doing my best. I wasn't and still am not very acquainted with these technologies bits. The terms (buffer, bits.etc...) still confuses me a bit. I am very eager to learn all of this as I find it very interesting. Audacity seems an excellent program, although some of its fonctionalities still causes me problem. In one of the live sessions someone said that you have to "play around" with the tool. That's so very true...

It was my first experience and sound is far from being good... I still have to work on that... The system (I don't know why!) doesn't accept more than 16 bits... There is a persistant echo which I can't seem to get rid of... Nevertheless, it's done... The next step is the assignement... we'll see

What next?
I joined in last friday, went to the session on Sunday, created my studio and did my audio presentation as well as a written one... What's next?
